Boost Gauge...
« on: January 09, 2009, 10:38:38 pm »
Does anyone else think that the "Abunto" could benefit from a boost gauge?
I think it would be a tidy addition to the gadgets already on display - obioulsy if it had the same styling as the current dials.

Never really been a fan of additional gauges on a car. No matter how well matched to the rest of the interior they always look like a bit of an after-thought :(

Tis a fair point - i've always been a gadget fan as long as they are quite camouflaged - one of my old cars had gadgets everywhere it was like being inside an F15 fighter jet.
From one extreme to the other eh?

wait a sec - just need a tissue to wipe the drool off my chin  ;D

if abarth did release an aftermarket gauge though, i would consider getting a price for it.
If they released a HUD unit - i'd whip my card out right now.

You've already got one, why would you want another?

do you guys not find it really annoying though? I cant stand it on my display, it somehow looks tacky. Iv'e always thought dails (with the needle in) have looked much 'sportier'

;D This is my argument right here - should have explained it better to begin with! I don;t find it tacky but i've always  been a "dials" man.

HUD well overated.  Could have specced it in a E60 5 series but had a go in a car with it and I just didn't like it.

Ah true I forgot the E50 has that option, but Abarth are mad - they'd probably have a HUD with a game of pong you can play with the steering wheel buttons.
