Thanks.

They don't exactly make it easy for replacements, do they?

its something fiat have always tended to do, the rear silencer is nearly always part of the mid section.

seems alot of waste to me, i guess thats why theyve changed it on most models.

I assume you just drop the back box to cut the pipe. You don't need to remove anything else.

    Cheers.

I ordered the Ragazzon back box naively assuming that the GPA exhaust system was multi-part like most others.

I should have checked first. ::)

I called in at the dealer today, they have a kit on display. No demonstrator until January probably.

I didn't realise you get an uprated clutch.

The backbox doesn't look like stainless steel though.

The uprated clutch is only on the very early models, I don't know what chassis number they stop at, but i'm sure chunkey monkey will be able to enlighten us.
Which dealer is it that doesn't have an Esse Esse demo? It is part of the minimum standards to have both models available to drive.

the chassis cut off for the clutch replacement is 00431580.

apparently its unlikely any of them will be in the uk though.

im sure i read somewhere that dealers are invited to put the clutches into stock for when any cars come in that may need the uprated one.

john501's went into stock, the rest will be left in the customer's boxes.

along with those lovely graphite grey original wheels, just sat there, doing nothing..........  :'( ;)

What can you do with all those parts, can they easily be sold on?

You can't do jack sh*t with them. That's what is silly about the ss kit being a dealer fit aftermarket kit. Two boxes full of crap.

Okay, so you might use the wheels as spares, or with different tyres for road, track, or winter. And you might be able to sell some bits as spares to someone with a standard Abarth, but it is still all hassle.

If it was factory fitted it would be cheaper, probably about £16K and you wouldn't need parts fitting twice. So you might have to pay higher road tax, so what!

Well the price of scrap metal is good at the moment, and you could buy a piece of glass and make the wooden case into a coffee table.
