Decat or 200 cell
« on: March 11, 2013, 10:24:16 pm »
I am looking into buying a decat or a 200 cell Cat from TMC. which one is the best and why, will I see any performance gain with taking the cat off my remapped GPA SS?

You can de-cat a newish car but it will fail the MOT if left off the exhaust system (see the new MOT laws). If you don't mind swapping the de-cat pipe & the original cat each year that's fine, you may get 5-10 more bhp by having no cat on a car as I did this with my 55 plate PT Cruiser as Diesel cars don't need to have cats on as they don't get tested for emmissions.
