I assume that the basic spring type for the standard Grande Punto and the GPA are the same and thereforefore interchangeable.

Can someone confirm this please?

I'm thinking that a set of Eibachs would do the job nicely. Alternatively I could just buy a set of the EsseEsse springs.

I don't think that the T-Jet 120 springs are the same part no as the Abarth as the Abarth is supposed to sit 10mm lower.

I'm assuming that apart from the length and stiffness that they are the same fitting. In other words a set of Eibach springs for the T-Jet would fit the Abarth.

If this is the case then the advertised drop for the Eibachs is 35mm which would be 5mm lower than the EsseEsse. That's shown as being 20mm lower than the Abarth which is in turn 10mm lower than the T-Jet.

I haven't managed to find out yet if Eibach or anyone else do a set specifically for the GPA though there may be something on ebay.it.

Then I need to find the spring ratings.

I seem to recall you preferred the titanium-coloured wheels.

If it helps, Autoworld, Chesterfield had an EsseEsse kits with both white and titanium wheels a week ago when I was last in.

Although this is not in the wanted thread, I'm sure Alex wont mind. I have a set of normal production Abarth springs that have done about 400 miles that came off my Esse Esse if your interested.

Isn't the load rating the amount of pre-load on the springs due to the car weight pressing down (which should be the same for all types as they weigh the same)??

Spring rating is the amount of force required to compress the spring by a set distance (e.g. lb per inch).  The stiffer the spring the higher the force required to compress the spring by 1 inch.
I run 400 lb front and 500 lb rear on my Exige which is stiff for track use, but the car weighs less than 800kg.

Considering the SS springs look much stiffer than the standard (and feel much stiffer on the road) I was suprised that the valving of the dampers wasn't changed.  Perhaps the damping was developed with the SS springs and then standard springs put on. 

If you can find out the ratings for the SS ones then you should be able to get similar ones aftermarket.  I've seen a couple of alternatives by searching on the internet but they're quite expensive at ~ £150 but no mention of ratings.
