    Just out of interest.. why not TMC? I had my eyes set on a gtech box to add at some point but now there's the TMC box that's half the price of it.

    Gtech used to say to say you needed to get your wastegate reinforced but that's now changed. So you don't have to change anything if you add the box. The gtech box is meant to be more tricky to fit then the TMC.

    I sound anti gtech but i'm not.. i have springs from them and exhaust and i'm very happy with them all. TMC are cheaper, local to us and it's basically the same product!

    Well I am thinking about Gtech just because they specialise in parts for our cars, and it seems more members have had gtech installed. My first idea was a remap but went of that idea. Have you installed any performance up grades ?

    Many, many, more members have TMC boxes then gtech ones  :thumb: probablly in a ratio of 15 tmc - 1 gtech box.

    Gtech do have lovely products for us all but interms of the piggy back box, the TMC one is what i will put my money on. IMO there isn't much point in spending twice the amount for the same thing.

    I have got gtech springs and exhaust system. No other mods just yet. TMC could be changing that soon  :whistle:

    I had a G-tech unit fitted to my 500. A great unit, well made and well thought out. I would infact say the G-Tech unit is easier to fit, it has a plug to provide power, as appose to connecting direct to the battery. The G-tech unit also comes with a purpose made mount for the actual unit so keeps it nice and safe. I too went for the G-tech unit due to the specialism in the Abarth sector. Any more info you need about the G-tech unit or photos etc (as I still have mine) just shout.

    Cheers for that a think when scorpion tuning email me back a may buy one. My original plans were to buy a Gtech chip, BMC CDA carbon airbox & a Gtech back box but at the moment it looks like i am only going to buy the Gtech Chip. reasons behind this are the carbon airbox is not made for RHD cars so I am not spending that money to bodge something on the car, and for the exhaust I had a 106 XSI for my first car with a full stainless steel system fitted (no cat) and it was unbearable so after reading reviews of the Gtech exhausts they are extremely loud. grrrrrr  :banghead:

    G-tech have a new plug in unit for 2010,

    Heres the translated description, so won't completely make sense!

    NEW COMPLETE 2010!
    New Add-on GTECH motor Tjet, assembly plug in play, no problems of recovery, leaving evidence of errors in unit!
    Mountable on all engines Tjet 120, 135, 150, 155CV and 180hp!
    New hardware and software, needs no Wastegate reinforced or fuel pressure regulator. Manages pressure turbo, injection, advances and management butterflies. Gradual and smooth delivery without pressure peaks. Moreover, new software soffisticato protects the engine from dangerous leaning and consequent increases in temperature of exhaust gases.

    120CV-> 142CV and 260nm
    135CV-> 163cv and 285Nm
    155CV-> 180hp and 285Nm
    180hp-> 195CV and 295Nm

    Fitting in just 5 minutes

    The controller has been tested and certified by the German TÃœV and ensures reliability as the car number.

    Another description...

    G-Tech Lancers in a few days have a new module for engines and also the engine Tjet Multi.
    After months of careful study and due to the enormous experience under the "old" form Tjet, sold several hundred copies around the world and much admired around the world, including several very reputable tuner, it's time to launch the new form G-Tech.

    New hardware and new software, provides a data processing even more accurate and fast with this full-bodied and smooth delivery at all engine speeds! It was also worked a lot on engine reliability Tjet, especially in the long term, even if the "old" module is in the statistics of the most reliable of all the processing electronics on the market.
    A special software is able to handle a very precise injection and this will manage to avoid any dangerous thin. This is crucial in modern Euro 5 engines, which tend to lean with the Autofitting always the carburetion. And on this administration, which is essential to keep the temperature of exhaust gases in reliability values were spent so many hours of practice both on the street as well as on the track, along with the use of roller test bench.

    About values managed by the module. To silence once and for all stories on the operation of the form G-Tech, which were invented by people not serious and ill-informed in the world of tuning, we can say that the form G-Tech at first and completely mappable as an original unit, so even 100% customizable. For this step is used on power beyond 300CV, guaranteeing levels of security are very important.

    Injection, advances, management butterflies, very precise pressure management supercharger and of course monitor security system, guarantee an increase of horsepower interesting, but as a confidence level lighters already very large. We also want to disprove once and for all that it is a mismatch of data, as happens on many forms lowcost.
    The form G-Tech does not need fuel pressure regulator or wastegate reinforced.

    Simple and intuitive, self-adjustment after installation, operation and highly accurate superaffidabile and increased performance interesting.

    It must be said that once removed, the module leaves absolutely no traces of its mounting!

    Ta.

    The G-Tech site has been silent for ages, but I got a pdf from Stretten with all the prices - still 599 Euros, but the 100 Euro engine warranty only applies to German registered cars.
