it wouldn't go bang. for the normal GPA it doesn't really make sense to change the actuator. i think GTT or roland is talking about the mechanism in the wastegate (plz correct me if i am wrong). but a stronger wastegate is only making sense when you feel that the pressure goes down to quickly after a remap. because of the stronger boost the actuator gives way to quickly.
but obviously you can if you want to. :)

    I was pondering the Forge slightly uprated one,as reading this thread it is apparent that the boost falls off very quickly.

    it does at the top range of rpm anyways. that is why we talked about the larger turbos.
    small turbo-boost at low and mid range rpms.
    large turbo-boost at mid and high range rpms.
    this is a very simple explanation. smaller turbos just don't need that long to get to work. bigger ones is the other way round. and then it depends if it is a ball beared turbo or a slide beared turbo. the forge wastegate will only gain you alot if it is combined with a remap.

    Hi just putting a stronger wastegate on doesnt work, depending how strong it is it is it may either pull the throttle back to 50%  and or go into limp mode  . Darren has tried it with the TMS and  AFAIK had the same thing . It needs to be done as part of the setup .
     Our Level 1 kit includes  GTT T3  Modified Actuator/ bracket/ adjustable rod ,+ GTT replacement boost control valve, +and 2 electronic circuit boards. Oh and the TMS box   :o   ;D
