Quad Exhaust
« on: August 14, 2009, 04:52:44 pm »
I've just come back from getting quotes about exhausts etc and I've now decided on a custom made quad exhaust (a twin exhaust either side) it is booked in for the 25th august  ;D

I don't think any other AGP owner on here has had this done so I've had to visualise what it will look like and it will mean bit of the rear bumper/splitter will be cut out.

I'm also hoping it's gonna sound brilliant aswell can't wait just got to get through a week of night shifts now  :thumbd:

When I've got it done will have pics on here straight away

Ah great. I've been waiting for someone to do this. Can't wait to see it. How much was it if you don't mind me asking?

It's going to cost me £529 inc VAT I don't think thats too bad considering I get the sound I want and the look I want.

This will be from the cat backwards and effective splits into 2 exhausts so it will be like having 2 backbox's fitted so can understand why it is bit more than other custom exhausts which has just been a twin exhaust.

I actually was expecting to be told it would cost between £700-£800 for some reason

Not discussed that yet gonna talk it over sooner the time so can't say yet what the diameter will be (which is good incase I change my mind on tail pipes etc) they seem to have loads of different parts in stock anyway.

Just so far only booked the car in and they had a look at the car to make sure they can do it and gave a quote.

I think this will make my car very unique and give it a nice style  :thumb:

would have got it done next week if it was not for my shifts next week though.

    Yes it is stainless aswell

looking forward to seeing this.... i just personally think a quad exhaust is going to be a tad overkill on the agp...

id like to see a twin exhaust but one either side.... trouble is theres alread a cut out for 2 pipes :(

It's a powerflow exhaust they seem to give more bhp and torque than other custom made exhausts.

Getting it done at Ashford Motorsport had a look around while I was there they had a lot of cars in which were having work done (shame they not actually based in Ashford though).

They have done work on Lamborghini's, evo's, skyline's etc they reckon it will take 4 hours to do and advised me to bring a dvd when i take it in.

I know what you mean with it being abit overkill but it is personal taste really it will certainly look different though I can't wait for it to be done.

Bah he's wrong ignore him, quads are the way to go  ;D In seriousness I can see where MIA is coming from beggaring about with the rear valance is going to be a pain, but it'll look wicked if done just right  :thumb: Now you need to sort out the Azbo87 tuning badge  ;)

Always a risk when you are the first person to attempt something just don't know what could happen and if it will look right etc I know exactly what bit will need to be cut out for the exhaust to fit even showed them and said it has to be that bit.

With this tuning badge I put the old badge off mentioned in another topic and at the thinking stage of a badge actually with my own design I've also got other ideas for the car but will not be done anytime soon though.
