Hope you get on with Gazzella ok as i know of a few people that have had bad experiences with them after they have been told delivery dates for stuff that then takes 3-4 weeks more than gazzella said it would to come!

I finally got the Ragazzon back box fitted at Autoworld today. It's been sitting in my garage for a while.

Despite what I'd initally been told, the service department let me have a look under the car. The Abarth tech said that, despite being a bit of a squeeze, he could remove the existing cat without taking the front off the car. This means that I can have the full Ragazzon system fitted including the front cat replacement pipe and the Ragazzon sports cat. The pipes sit quite nicely under the diffuser, much better than standard. The pipes are slightly larger too - 70mm.

It's been a bad day to judge the sound of the exhaust as the roads are so wet.

Inital impressions are that the sound is slightly louder than standard and definitely smoother at low-medium revs. This changes completely at high revs to a much sharper sound with seemingly an increase in induction noise. At least that what it sounds like to me. Still no crackles and pops Old Boy. Performance differences? Probably not though impossible to tell. Traction control light on out of every roundabout on the way home.

My wife is now quite smug about all this as her MillTek system sounds really good. B***h

Decat and remap?

One of the Ragazzon options is a plain centre pipe replacing the sports cat and secondary silencer. So, that together with the cat replacement front pipe, and 60mm flexi pipe would satisfy that requirement. Unfortunately MOT man wouldn't like it, would he? Changing the system back and forth is not really an option for me at present. Mind you, until a month or so ago, I'd never considered red wheels.

changing it back and forth for an MOT is would be a right pain in the arse, especially if you dont have a lift. although if you did its not all that hard to change.
