1st 1000 miles.
« on: July 06, 2010, 10:55:10 pm »
Hi All,

The dealer told me the engine performance on my AGP is restricted for the 1st 1000 miles (a running in period).  Just wondered how much of a restriction is applied because it feels quick to me anyway.  Is it likely to get any quicker after 1000 miles?

Thanks.

Did'nt know the AGP has this feature?, I could be wrong but I'm not sure it does to be honest!

I know the new multiair engined Alfa Mito's are restricted for the first 1000 miles by 20%.

Thanks for the info.  I am glad you said that john as I heavily subscribe to the drive it like you stole it theory. ;D

I love the power you seem to get out of second gear and seeing other cars disappearing quickly in the rear view mirror.  What a car!!!

It's supposed to be 15%. It seems to me that this is absolutely true for the A500. Enjoy yourself!  ;D
