Abarth Recall
« on: August 02, 2010, 01:11:03 pm »
Anyone know anything about a recall on the AGP? We took our car into garage the other day & were advised there is an outstanding recall on the car but they couldn't currently advise what it was for??

Any ideas?

Cheers

just looked on dvla website. there has been a recall on agp built up to april 08, that would cover only the very earliest cars

Don't think I can do links but try the VOSA site's recall search engine
    Make: Fiat
    Model: Grande Punto

I checked this a few months ago, the recall is regarding a steering column coupling which can become detatched. The site did give a range of VIN numbers affected, but I think it related to some of the very early cars as mine is a mid '08 car but was one of the ones affected. It would be worth double checking the website just to be sure.

I think mine had something done to its fuel pump, or line or something...

There was a release a while ago that was actually on national news concerning earlier punto's steering columns.

I dont think its the steering issue, mine went in for warranty work yesterday (Friday) as well as doing all the work (to a high standard I may add :o) I had 'the' recall done, now. No one could explain what exactly it was, however I have received a 3 page 'document'  reminding me do the periodical checks on my car now and then... It also goes on to say that Abarth will not be held responsible if you miss a service etc etc.. Ill scan it and post it (probably on Sunday)
