or when i just set off, i have to go over speed bumps to get out my estate so i brake for those and it squeels... if i stop hard for them it stops the squeel :)

like 1mmortal says get heat in them and there fine :)

Exactly the same here. Only last for the first one or two times they are applied then fine.

like i said before mate it doesnt bother me that much, get the brakes upto temperature a little and it stops for a while anyway. - else mine does ;)

if it starts getting annoying though take it back and get the copper slip put on it.  :thumb:

Mine started squealing at the weekend too! 600 miles on the clock. Cant say I'm too worried about it, as other people have said its only when I touch them if I am going really slow .. not worth a 200 mile round trip for copper slip to be put on ...

Brake noise is a resonance caused by brake pad dust caught between the pad and disc.
This problem started when asbestos was outlawed as a component of pads.
The resonance is magnified by the caliper acting like the soundbox on a guitar.
Copper based grease is not a miracle cure but can muffle the sound transmission through to the caliper.
The main reason to use it is to reduce the likelihood of pads and pistons seizing.
Wafer thin shims of carbon fibre cut to the same shape as the pad and inserted between the back of the pad and the face of the piston act as an acoustic decoupler and cure brake squeal.
Pagid used to sell the carbon fibre sheet, although I haven't needed any in ages.
