I know in dragging up an old thread here but did anyone find the issue with the noise please? Mine has started it, a metallic sound only when turning left.
Help someone please!!

It's more likely lipped discs. Remove the lip with a grinder or replace discs. Job sorted.

Wow thank you for your reply. The discs do have slight lips but the noise has only just started. New pads were fitted about 1200 miles ago which could have bedded in more I guess.

I had a mess with the shields on the drivers side, and while it didn't seem to be touching, bending it out of the way more towards the inside of the arch in various places *seems* to have sorted it, so thank you abarthisti!

similar story --- I got rid of it for a while on mine (GPA absolutely standard, 2008) but it came back.  really noticable on roundabouts particularly when downhill.

Anyway, eventually, when I replaced the disks (which were lipped) it went away.   J.
