Finance deals will vary, but for a car of that value you'd probably be looking at around the £250 a month with 10% down. I hasten to add this is a very vague figure, it could be more or less depending on what sort of finance you opt for (HP/PCP) and your personal circumstances. Other people with more recent experience please post up.

My Lupo GTI was just about the same price as the Abarth Punto back in 2004 and I was paying £215 a month for 3 years on a simple bread and butter HP deal, but obviously the financial packages now will be different, plus it depends on how much you put in as a deposit.

You'll get lower monthly cost by upping the deposit or increasing the length of the agreement, but obviously going to a 5 year deal rather than a 3 year will mean less a month but more in the long run. Swings and roundabouts.

How much can you afford and how much can you put down are the first question the dealers will ask. :)

thanks andy, £250 sounds quite reasonable as im paying £220 for my sporting at the mo, i could manage the 10% deposit too :D do you know if there is 0% finance or will it vary again?

If anyone wants a quote, PM me and I'll work out a quote for you. I can't post them on here because of the FSA regulations.

£250 is a bit of a guess on my part, it just sounds about right for that value of car, and of course as I said there are variables, not least the slightly adjusted financial market right now.

PM Mr John, I'm sure he'll attempt to quote you happy. LOL

As you are probably aware, it is impossible for me to post a finance quote on the forum due to FSA regulations, small print etc. but I can tell you a NP G.P. Abarth with a 20% deposit (£2700) will work out at £260 ish on a 36 month PCP deal.

    Ouch  :o

    £12k for a GPA over 3 years  :(

Cash is the only way.  Save up for what you want, when you have enough money and you still want it, then you know you're doing the right thing.  This credit culture has got the western world into a lot of trouble.
