Multiple questions R.E - alternator, bodywork, engine!!
« on: December 15, 2019, 10:12:45 pm »
Good evening,

Recently bought an abarth grande Punto esseesse and need help on a few issues.
Does anyone know the exact alternator part number as it's currently whining and dropping voltage under load causing my steering to turn off.
I have cracked wheel arches, I don't suppose they share the same arch liner as the standard Punto, or does anyone have a part number for the two front arches?
Lastly first cold start of the morning the car sometimes fires on what seems like 3 cylinders then after a second or two continues with normal cold start processings, I saw a post about this on here but it was never solved, anyone had this problem before and fixed it?

Any help appreciated.

Jack1998 use this link https://www.fiatdalys.lt/en/catalog/step2/C/GPABR which should take to a Italian Fiat Dealer that has the Fiat EPR System on its website. You should be able to find all the Parts Numbers that you are looking for.

    Happy hunting, PaulT

    Welcome to the forum Jack1998

The starting problem maybe no more than a set of spark plugs.

They should be changed at 18000 mile intervals.

Thank you for the replies, I gave the spark plugs a clean and it made a little difference, starts a bit healthier but still takes a second to find it's cold idle and sounds about lumpy. I have however noticed the o-ring around the air oil separator is perished and I feel it may be leaking oil into the plugs, possibly would explain why the plugs looked quite fouled, especially the closer I got to the air oil unit.

On a separate note without posting a new topic do you know if the koni fsd's from the a500 will fit the Punto?

I would say not as they are two completely different body designs
