Something to Check
« on: November 06, 2008, 04:28:05 pm »
Evening guys. I just changed my indicator bulbs. When opening the 'secret' door in the wheel arch i noticed that it wasn't fitting snug. There were gaps where muddy water could get in. Inspecting under the bonnet i found traces of muddy water behind my light housing. It was the same on both sides. I have now taped the doors shut from both sides so it should be ok from now on. Just something you might want to check. We don't want muddy water in our nice engine bays do we  :D

Not sure if this is a problem with both series. I know my GPS series 1 the door/ hatch fitted VERY well but, it was a pain to open due to the latch being on the inside. Seems like they have now changed it so it locks on the outside, but it means the door doesnt shut as well.

Begs the question as to why you would want to change the bulbs? Where they not orange enough for you?
