Sport boost
« on: April 02, 2012, 10:04:23 pm »
I've read that the sport boost button changes the torque map on the Agp ss but can't seem to find any figures or graphs to back it up.  Does anyone know offically what the specs are?

The 4-cylinder 16v engine delivers 155 bhp at 5500 rpm with a maximum torque of 206 Nm at 5000 rpm. When "power boost" mode is activated, the maximum torque increases to 230 Nm at 3000 rpm

Best you're likely to find, it also changes the throttle response at the same time

The esseesse kit includes substantial engine modifications that increase power output to 180 bhp (at 5750 rpm) with a maximum torque of 272 Nm (200 lb ft) at 2750 rpm.

nope, on the AGP SS its just a reverse girly button, beefs up the steering, sharpens the throttle a bit, no extra power or torque :thumb:

On the official abarth web site in relation to the Age ss kit it states that max torque of 270nm is only achieved in sport mode and that the sport button changes the engine torque settings.
I must admit that when driving my car with the button pressed it 'seems' faster much in the same way that the engine seems to sound better.
Probably all the mind as whenever I'm driving quick I automatically have sport on.
