I found the main performance increase beyond 5,000rpm. As I got the Kit fitted when I bought the car (bold move, eh?) I ended up negotiating quite a bit of the price of car/kit together. Research did say on numerous occasions that its £3,499...however this needs citation as I may have either misheard/got confused/missed out some T&Cs.

Yes the pirellis dont generally hold corners when you're powering over them but they tend to be quite a "soft" tyre. Has anyone had any other tyres fitted?

What kind off money I could roughly get for the parts taken off ie wheels, brakes turbo and the rest

    Thanks

Also, I did exactly this, and my amount to date stands at £1,965. I have one empty crate left, plus the second crate with a few standard bits in. Have sold the ramaining bits, but awaiting collection.
Whcih means i've recovered over 2K, and I still have one lovely crate, which I will convince my sister to use as a coffee table.

£3450 sounds alot better than the £4500 arnold clark just quoted me, just awaiting a quote from vospers for the kit or price and warranty issues with a g-tech exhuast

How much are the wheels alone worth?

looking at  the GPA SS kit at autoworld today and it included a clutch, apparently this is only needed on early cars, later ones having it fitted from new. so.. if i have a later car i also get a spare clutch, a good saving for later in the cars life or something else to sell

Did they tell you that you get that spare clutch?

AFAIK the clutch is only fitted to the early cars if necessary and isn't part of the EsseEsse kit.

Ours is an early car, and no clutch offered.

If that is the same kit (titanium wheels) that's been in the showroom for a few months, it'll need the dust cleaning out of the injectors before it's fitted.

I asked them about the clutch and was told that's it's an upgrade if necessary. I didn't get the impression that you got it regardless.

AFAIK the 'early' cars referred to were those available on the continent, not over here.

You are quite right about the clutch not been given as part of the kit if it was needed.
If the car did not need the clutch then it was to be placed into dealer stock to be used when needed. That kit must be one of the original ones as I believe it is no longer included in the kit.
It was the very early cars that were effected but some of them did make it to the U.K. Chunky may correct me but I dont think we ever had one that needed the clutch replacing, not even mine and that was one of the very first done.
