i think it was fiona who said she liked the standard alloys better.... i think i am with you on that one.... pitty they arn'y 18's !

I think white wheels on a plain white car is a bit of over kill. Although i love the white wheels, with a white car, if it's got a stripe kit. I would get white wheels on mine for sure as it has a skydome.

The wheels are too glossy and the wrong shade red? Is it just me?

The set on the other picture look much nicer.

The 16 spoke red wheels on both sets of pics are OZ Superturismo Serie Rosso not kit wheels in any way.

The red wheels on my pics are OZ Ultraleggera Serie Rosso. I'm ordering standard size as I want to use 45 series tyres. 18s are overkill.

I just copied photos and superimposed (badly) in Photoshop.

I think you'll find that the red colours are exactly the same under indentical lighting conditions.

The early pics show what are probably 16 spoke OZ Superturismo wheels.

The kit wheels are Abarth branded 12 spoke items in white or titanium. The white ones look ok until they get dirty.

I've now been informed that I'll have to wait until the end of January at least before I can order the wheels as the distribution has still to be sorted out. The best thing about that is the frosts and salt should be over by the time they arrive. Financial climate allowing of course.

However, if you really must have low-profile tyres...

I found another supplier, Revolution of Newcastle.

The wheels are ordered and should be fitted on 27th December. OZ Serie Rossa. I've gone for Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetrics. Stock size.

@ magicmole, you mean that the 18" wheels for the Abarth esseesse are overkill? :)

I think so. As are the drilled disks. Others would disagree. I don't have comparative data to back up any claims.

@magicmole, if I bought the esseesse kit, I would stick to my original Abarth 17" wheels. I believe the car would perform faster with the 17" wheels, rather than with the 18" wheels. ;) Would you agree? :)
