Yet another GPA brake thread

Have Fiat changed the pad spec for GPAs?

After 11.5k I finally got the squealing brakes sorted and was surprised that not only did Autoworld fit the shims but also a new set of pads as well. Definitely not complaining about that and didn't notice any difference in braking performance. I didn't get the old pads back as it was a warranty job.

I thought that the brakes did put out a bit more dust though but thought nothing of it at the time.

2k miles later, still no squeal but my wheels are mucky with just one trip to work (12 miles) and by the end of the week are absolutely ditched. Not just darker red, but black in places and if the roads are wet, the wheels are a complete mess. I've said before that the OZs are a pig to clean but I could now do with taking them off every week for a full clean and there's no way that's going to happen, I'm too idle. I use Muk-Off to clean the wheels as I don't want to damage the finish and then the usual Meguiars shampoo stuff. Rimwax/Turtle Wax etc makes no difference whatsoever.

Has anyone else had their brakes pads changed and noticed this difference?

When they put the shims on mine they changed the pads aswell have thought nothing of it. I do have the standard wheels on mine and the dirt does not tend to show as much on them but after hearing that in the past whenever I have checked the wheels just put my finger on them and it's made my finger black and I'm sure it was not this bad before they were changed.
