Abarth 500 / Re: Dualogic. Is it any good?

I have one with 110k miles on it and it's on about 70% clutch left. They're not the fastest of boxes but never the less it's quite entertaining and adds to the character of the car IMO.
Having multiecuscan is a must though as I've relearned the clutch twice in the last 15k and changed the fluid without having to pay exorbitant garage prices where they're more than likely to screw up through lack of knowledge.

Thanks Matt, appreciate the response!

No worries, I thought that might be something that needs to be done - will have chat to the Abarth repair shop I'm having the 2016 serviced at pre-sale and see if they can help me out with that after I've attempted the swap...

Fingers crossed :)

Abarth 500 / Abarth 500 Vacuum Reading on Idle
« Last post by olismee on January 14, 2021, 08:54:36 pm »
What vacuum readings are people getting on idle? Currently i’m recording 30inmg on a vacuum gauge... I have various issues with the car around this. It almost feels as though timing is retarded. However my tuner seems to me convinced this is a hardware issue like incorrect exhaust cam timing... any help appreciated.

Sure!  Edd has been very helpful and very cooperative.  But he hes no solution for me right now.  I want to see if I can solve the issue before sending the unit back to him.

Abarth 500 / Bluespark tuning box - Misfire
« Last post by donaldyk on January 14, 2021, 08:18:02 pm »
Dear all.  I have a very recent 2020 Competizione.  It has 2400 km.  I have installed the Bluespark tuning box and am experiencing some misfire issues.  Even in setting as low as map A / 2.    No problem when I take the module out.   I can feel some surge (or what I would describe as “wave effect”) around 4500 and 5500 RPM.  If I insist I get a flashing engine light (that disappear after around 15 seconds).  OBD reader always says the same:  cyl 2 and 3 misfire.  When the conditions are very good (at nognr for instance, when it is cold and dry) everything performs normally and that car works VERY well.  Almost no misfire and no engine light.

I use Shell V Power 98 octane gas.

What could give me a better spark?  Other plugs?   I already have uprated to Alfa Romeo 4c Bosch coils and I have regapped the spark plugs to 0.5 with no difference.  I just need a better spark.  Anyone experienced the same issue with Piggibacks or proper remap?  Any solution to be recommended?

Really loving this car. I find it a lot of fun and I enjoy the boy-racer noise, makes me giggle.

Not a long I find wrong with it to be honest. Just a fun, honest car.

Hi,

Can’t say for certain but I believe they will be plug and play, although you may need Multiecuscan to do a proxi alignment. From memory I think in one of the body computers you have the option to enable or disable seat airbags  :thumb:
