Abarth 500 / Re: Quad Monza exhaust tips
« Last post by filip00 on December 03, 2020, 05:46:12 pm »
Maybe just go to the exhaust shop and have the guys mount some chrome tips over the existing exhaust? This will give you the look of the newer monza, and it's the simplest options. Also, if the exhaust you mounted is good, there isn't any fixing of what isn't broken :)

Videos / Car theft prevention
« Last post by filip00 on December 03, 2020, 05:29:27 pm »
Hey guys. Our cars are unfortunately notorious for being super easy to steal. I tried to be proactive about it so I compiled all the information that may be useful to anyone already in the know, or a newbie.

1. Breaking in the car
2. Starting the car
3. Driving off with the car

Protection:
1. Immobiliser / Kill switch
2. Physical security (wheel/pedal/shift lock)

Additional security

There’s a video on YouTube that you might find interesting. Search with the key words: Tiff Langham roadsterbags.
I hope it’s helpful.

No idea, do you know what each look like? Might be an idea to size them up against eachother.

Hi all, just wondering if the gear linkage from a later model 2019 is different from an earlier model 2011?

We had the same issue but was tracked down to a poor earth which fixed it. Time to get the multimeter out ;D

that seems like the plan this weekend, and wire in an extra earth to see if it fixes it

Did you get to the bottom of this? I think I have the same issue!

Abarth 124 Spider / Sill panel not aligned
« Last post by jdspider124 on November 26, 2020, 03:07:21 pm »
Hi all took delivery of my Spider two weeks ago red with Heritage pack, Visibility Pack 5000 miles early 2018 car. Absolutely love it, having researched extensively what I wanted for a 2nd car its everything I though it would be which is great.

Question if anyone knows - the drivers side main sill panel below the door adjoining the rear quarter is slightly mis-aligned. I am quite ham-fisted and did not want to break anything has anyone any ideas of how to persuade it back in to place?

Much obliged.

Abarth 500 / Quad Monza exhaust tips
« Last post by TonyG on November 24, 2020, 08:46:21 pm »
Hey everyone, hope all is well. I’ve had my Abarth 595 now for two weeks and love it, I bought the scorpione oro edition. I’ve changed the exhaust to a quad Monza exhaust. Now I want to add better tips so they look newer, they don’t look too bad, but they look like the older abarth exhaust rather than recent ones. Can anyone suggest what/where I could purchase from? There’s not a lot of space and they’re about 62mm.

Much appreciated

Tony

"I can thoroughly recommend Chris Knott's breakdown service. I have it on both my vehicles (one 11 years and one 15 years old) and although I thankfully have only had to use them once, they were absolutely fantastic. And at a much better price than the 'big brands' too!" robt100, Briskoda.net
