Good morning everyone, hope you’re all well.

I am after a little advice regarding the wife’s Abarth 500.

I had to change the lower arm yesterday for the MOT and when I removed the side intercooler pipes to gain access to the crash bar bolts, a small amount of water came out. A drip came out of the drivers side pipe but approx. two tablespoons (give or take) came out of the passenger side pipe. Should there be water in these pipes? I’m not convinced it’s coolant as the coolant is pink but this appeared to be clear. Whilst fitting the new arm, I also noticed a small drip from under the car but I can’t seem to find where it’s coming from. Any thoughts or advice would be amazing and a heads up that if there are any common issues. It doesn’t appear to be losing any coolant (I will monitor).

Hi Dave,
I fitted new rear shocks (generic ones I found on AutoDoc - like wine, I went for the second-cheapest ones)) and, most importantly, Powerflex polybushes for the rear suspension beam (the Powerflex shock absorber top mounts didn't fit, as the replacement shocks had a much smaller bush than the originals). All I can say is that the rear end finally stopped jumping about over ruts, tramlines and potholes and felt stuck to the road as I always wanted it to be, so it was worth the investment!

Hello, thanks, that clears things up for me. I am quite happy with the way the front suspension feels, it's the
rear that I really don't like. My plan is new rear shocks and maybe polybushes for the back axle.

I think if the Konis are gold then they are aftermarket fitment, if black Konis then dealer / factory fitted most likely.
I had gold aftermarket ones and although a vast improvement on standard factory abarth shocks (2010 model ) the shock absorber casings corroded badly and became quite frankly dangerous, so would avoid gold Konis again, although I cant say if black ones would be so affected.

I would like to no if I need to do any modifications before I go for a remap?

Also do we no anywhere good for a re map around West Yorkshire

Does anyone know of any companies that buy up good quality used Abarth parts?
I have all the leftovers from when my 2010 Grande Punto was upgraded with the esseesse kit prior to delivery and could do with the space in my garage now (especially as I don't have the car now). Parts like the turbo, oil cooler, back box, brake discs, springs etc.
Any pointers will be gratefully received

Having recently managed to dig my way through my garage to the 2 large Abarth crates I had stored I have now managed to access all the parts that were removed when the dealer added the esseesse kit to my 2010 Grande Punto. I have all the removed standard parts (except the wheels which were sold with the car). All parts have delivery milage only on them (which was 8 miles). So if you've managed to lunch your turbo I might be able to help :)

I have:
Front and rear vented brake discs
Exhaust back box
Front and rear springs
Cat converter + shield
Turbo + inlet manifold
Injector rail
Coolant expansion tank
Oil Cooler
Air intake tube (plastic)
Metal Air tube
standard Air filter (still very clean)
Assorted metal and rubber hoses
A couple of metal shields
A couble of moulded fabric covers

Photos are available of all parts. Offers welcomed on all parts.

Hello, I have a 2015 595 140hp. I have had the front wheels off for the first time and have discovered that the car has Koni FSD front struts.  My question is, are these standard fitment from the factory or have they been fitted
aftermarket?
