If I were being cynical I would say that this was the file they were attempting to apply as the remap. Perhaps I was just unlucky, he said he mapped a 22 abarth a couple of days ago without issue. Although it was a 165bhp tourismo. Think I’ll leave it alone, can’t recommend it going by my experience.

Sounds strange to me. Haven't seen it mentioned anywhere.

Remember that the Biposto also has a different air intake and would be from a time when the engine was designed to meet a different Euro 5/6 engine rating.  From memory Euro 6D changes came in Sep 2018, may be more since. Biposto was late 2014, S3 180 Comp early 2015.

What effect the differences have I wouldn't know.

Abarth 500 / 2021 ESSEESSE remap/Celtic tuning

So after many discussions with remappers, most saying 2021 on ecu can’t be cracked Celtic Tuning said the would have a go, I booked them to come to me do the business.
After an hour he was done, we went for a test drive, went like a missile for a couple miles then eml came on. He checked the codes and there were misfires all over the place. He called was in conversation via text to someone for half hour before saying “I’ll put the stock map back on” starts muttering Something about spark plug gaps, when was it last serviced, my reply was 400miles ago, it’s still under warranty has done 13k miles and been serviced by abarth 3 times!
This is where it got interesting, so people tell me the later ESSEESSE has a different map to comps cos of the akropovic exhaust and make nearer 190bhp. I look at his laptop whilst mapping back to stock and the file says 695 biposto 190. Which also has the akrapovik. My question is….. If Abarth used the biposto map on the EsseEsse and it really does make 190bhp why wouldn’t they say?

There is a shortage in Lorrydrivercapacity. All manufacturers suffer.

Abarth 500 / 695 Delivery time

The dealer has advised my car is due to be built by the end of this month. However, they say I probably won't see the car until late June or possibly July.  This seems quite a long time.
Does anybody know why this is and how the cars are transported from the factory in Poland?

Thanks

Thanks for that both.

Reassuring that the immobiliser is always active.

Like the idea of pulling that fuse as seems minimal issues associated.

Disconnecting the battery seems a great option, but would worry about radio, sat nav and general electrics not working correctly when I reattach.

I would just disconnect the battery and make sure you have your steering lock on as long as it’s the full wheel steering lock thay carnt get them off so will not look at your car twice I disconnect my battery and put steering lock on every nite alarms can be more hassle then there worth most times
