Hi, if you'd like the reassurance of reading some reviews before trying Chris Knott for a car insurance quote, here's a selection from some of our car club forums and the Trustpilot review site...

"I saved £40 on my renewal and the process was nice and easy, highly recommended." taffyhornblower, jaguarforum

"I went with CK 10 days ago, they easily beat the A********** renewal and subsequent quotes I had with an equivalent policy - so I am in the [prize] draw." coldel, VX220 forum

"Smashed my renewal quote with my previous insurers, well impressed! All mods declared as well." Bob Wilson, Ford Club GB

"Kim was a very friendly, helpful advisor and quickly got a renewal policy for us. Excellent customer skills. Many thanks." Mrs H Taylor, Trustpilot

"Excellent service, remembered everything, despite a 9 week hiatus caused by lockdown." Iain Cockburn, Trustpilot

"Competitive Quote. After checking the comparison sites I decided to get a quote through Chris Knott's Alfa Romeo Owners Club. Not only were they able to beat all of the quotes that I had received this year, the policy that they offered me was less than I paid last year. The service was excellent, particularly as everyone was working from home as a result of the lockdown." Peter Baker, Trustpilot

"Excellent service so far. Even in these challenging times." Steve Wright, Trustpilot

"Good honest advice and know what you're good at and what you're not." Mr Stephen Taylor, Trustpilot

"Quick and efficient service and the price of my insurance premium was much more reasonable." C Bedford, Trustpilot

"Easy, friendly and £50 cheaper than the Co-op." Ian Dawson, Trustpilot

"1st time customer using Chris Knott. So far, I've had good customer support, very polite, easy to talk too. Cheap & reasonable rates." Simon Perkins, Trustpilot

Chris Knott is rated 'Excellent' on Trustpilot 4.8/5 - https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/chrisknott.co.uk

General Abarth / Re: Delayed at Bristol (Is this common)

Delayed coming into the country I can understand, but delayed at the UK depot?! I'd wait and see what they say, and how long it's delayed for.

Could potentially just be an admin issue, but it could also have been damaged in transit so make sure you inspect it 110% before signing over to conclude any deal.

I've just recently purchased a white 2010 Abarth 500 after many years of driving diesel Golf's but VW'S aren't the only cars I've owned I've had a number of Alfa's mini's and subura's too.
Got one major problem with the Abarth which I have posted on this site already.
Abarth 500 / Rear shocks fitting issue
« Last post by lucdag16 on July 24, 2021, 12:06:44 pm »
H everyone I  have recently purchased an Abarth 500 2010 which needs a couple of jobs doing on it and one of them being the rear shocks.
Not a difficult job to do for someone who knows their way around a car I hear you all say but stop right here cause this is where it gets interesting.
Just last weekend I went to do the job of replacing the rear shocks, the right hand side was where I started first and gave me no trouble just two bolts and it was out.
I compared the replacement new shock (TRW JGT581T) with the old monroe unit that I removed (G1083) and they appeared to be the same until I put in the first bolt into the top eye hole only to find that the hole isn't big enough for the bolt to go in.
I have worked for eurocarparts up until recently for 14 years so I'm no stranger to aftermarket parts not being made quite right but I've since compared KYB and Sachs units only to have the same problem.
It is my understanding from this site that the rear shocks are the same on 500's as it is on Abarth's so hole diameters for the bolts should be the same should they not?
Has anyone come across this problem before and if so what did you? I have one solution but I don't feel I should go down that road as these should just bolt on.

Hi fellow Abarthisti,

I am new to the forum, so just introducing myself and saying hello!

I have recently had my beloved Abarth 595 stolen, but am just replacing with a new, shiny, upgraded Abarth 595 Turismo, which I get to pick up on Monday - can't wait!

Thanks for that, when I did request a quote from a comparison web site I was pleasantly surprised. I foolishly went to Adrian flux first, and was quoted £450 whaaaasttttt, it ain't a Ferrari, managed to get a £250 quote from rAC but could have got a cheaper rate £176 from a company I had never heard of. Anyway, I am ordering a blue spark unit
Abarth 500 / Lambda Sensors Query
« Last post by Sharpey on July 21, 2021, 10:19:21 pm »
Hello everyone!
I am hoping for some advice following a diagnostic check on my 2015 500. It's the basic Abarth model, but I love it and am wanting to keep it as flippin brilliant as it was when I got it!
The diagnostic gave me the following codes & info:

P1141-1B/Downstream Lambda heater-circuit resistance above threshold

P0136-13/Downstream Lambda probe-circuit open

P0130-62/Upstream Lambda probe-signal compare failure

P0139-17/Downstream Lambda probe-circuit voltage above threshold

My first question is are these codes showing me running faults with the fuel system which the lambda sensors are picking up, or are they showing me that the lambda sensors are faulty?

And secondly is the work which would result usually covered by an extended warranty? I know this second question is a bit dependant on many different factors, but I'm no mechanic and just thought somebody on here may have gone through the same problem.
Many thanks in advance for any advice received
