Introduce Yourselves! / New (old) kid on the block
« Last post by Jack6284 on Today at 01:51:58 pm »Hello folks,
Now an owner and had the car just a few days. Drove a few various models to see how they went and decided that a Podium blue 595 Competizione was the one for me. Previous to this I had a R53 Cooper S which was good just not quite me. Based in Billericay and will be looking for suggestions for servicing local to me. Don’t mind doing some mechanical stuff myself and had 5 Lotus Elise to practice on.
Had far too many cars over many years and now just down to two. My other car is in the garage right now after not starting last weekend. Waiting for the news from Jardine’s, Colchester and hope that the problem is covered by the warranty.
Just found the MS Racing website and I’m trying to resist it all!
I’m bound to have a few questions which I’ll search for and post again if I can’t find the answers.

Uconnect / Re: UConnect 7" without SatNav
« Last post by AndyB1968 on Today at 11:40:30 am »I have a Carplay wireless adapter so can just use maps from my iPhone as the built is Satnav looks rubbish its a bit temperamental at times but usually I just have to unplug it and plug it back in to the USB port.
Hello all, my first post.
Serial Abarth owner, just acquired my 3rd last week, a 73 plate Abarth 595.
I was unable before purchase to learn whether it is equipped with sat nav and even now I'm not 100% sure. I can't see a button option on my display for 'Nav' so I'm assuming that I do not have it.
My question is: what are my options to get on-screen SatNav?
I've searched long and hard using Google but I can't seem to find a clear answer, i.e. whether it would be a software upgrade, a subscription service, both, or even a full head unit upgrade.
Thanks in advance.

« Last post by Pilch on April 13, 2024, 11:59:56 am »If I were being cynical I would say that this was the file they were attempting to apply as the remap. Perhaps I was just unlucky, he said he mapped a 22 abarth a couple of days ago without issue. Although it was a 165bhp tourismo. Think I’ll leave it alone, can’t recommend it going by my experience.

Remember that the Biposto also has a different air intake and would be from a time when the engine was designed to meet a different Euro 5/6 engine rating. From memory Euro 6D changes came in Sep 2018, may be more since. Biposto was late 2014, S3 180 Comp early 2015.
What effect the differences have I wouldn't know.

Abarth 500 / 2021 ESSEESSE remap/Celtic tuning
« Last post by Pilch on April 12, 2024, 03:18:13 pm »So after many discussions with remappers, most saying 2021 on ecu can’t be cracked Celtic Tuning said the would have a go, I booked them to come to me do the business.
After an hour he was done, we went for a test drive, went like a missile for a couple miles then eml came on. He checked the codes and there were misfires all over the place. He called was in conversation via text to someone for half hour before saying “I’ll put the stock map back on” starts muttering Something about spark plug gaps, when was it last serviced, my reply was 400miles ago, it’s still under warranty has done 13k miles and been serviced by abarth 3 times!
This is where it got interesting, so people tell me the later ESSEESSE has a different map to comps cos of the akropovic exhaust and make nearer 190bhp. I look at his laptop whilst mapping back to stock and the file says 695 biposto 190. Which also has the akrapovik. My question is….. If Abarth used the biposto map on the EsseEsse and it really does make 190bhp why wouldn’t they say?
