General Abarth / Re: Service and spark plugs
« Last post by Dfritt on April 10, 2021, 05:54:41 pm »
my car has done 21000 main dealer said they dont do the 27000 service any more so did 36000 service with brake fluid change new spark plugs for £340 .now that seems a bargain but they put new plugs in at 18000 service done at 14914 miles  so my very expensive plugs had done under 6000 miles.dont go to main dealers they are ripping us off i have had to have number 1 coil pack replaced because of a misfire 1 month out of warranty cost £129.66.order your parts from Autodoc i did with front and back Brembo pads £76 delivered both sets £16.67 for bosch wiper blades.you can also get the alfa 4c bosch coil packs if you put your car as a alfa  4c which i will be doing shortly as 21000  miles for coil packs is taking the wet.
Abarth 500 / Exact car model

Hello All, I have just bought a 2015 Abarth 595 and I'm not sure exactly what spec I have.   The plate in the boot
says   Motore Engine 312A3000  and   Version  312AXF1A 16      The version number doesn't exactly match any model in the handbook and the Engine type can be either 140hp  or 180hp, but I assume that because the car is not a Competizione then it will be 140hp?   Anyone with any knowledge of these numbers and types?

OK after a lot of reading and visiting parts sites it appears that apart from the extension shaft on the drivers side all drive shaft on all years are the same. If I have that wrong can somebody say so! Thanks.

If it is the fourth alternator then I have to assume you have other problems rather than just the alternator, bad batch or not! I would get them to check all the earths and possibly change the battery. Check the starter too. Something is obviously wrong that is causing spikes enough to kill the regulator pack on the alternators. It is the diode pack (regulator) that usually fails on alternators unless they just physically wear out their bearings or brushes. The rate you are getting through them it is almost certain that the diode pack is being 'spiked'.

This is now sold.
I will post up the bombardone exhaust separately for sale. If anyone is interested, make me an offer. It’s boxed, done 3k miles in 2.5 years and in great condition.

Hi all, I’m going to pick up my first Abarth next week. It’s 2013 595 Turismo. It’s two tone grey with red leather seats. All stock with 36000km on the clock. It’s not my first Italian car as I owned an Alfa 159 sport wagon before, which was very reliable. I’m going to have a thorough inspection on coming days. Anything I should pay attention to?
