Abarth 500 / Re: Gearbox "chatter" on new 595 Competizione

Car's now been with Parks East Kilbride for 2 1/2 weeks. Car would have been in earlier, but it took 5 weeks to source a courtesy car; not an Abarth, obviously, but a 70 plate Micra which drives as if it's on it's last legs. 6000 very hard miles it seems. Anyway, they've diagnosed it as being the flywheel moving laterally. They advise no gearbox damage but that the clutch will be replaced along with the flywheel. After much chasing by me, now found out that the clutch has been delivered. Flywheel?  Who knows; they'll let me know. ::) Really missing not seeing the bright yellow thing in my driveway. Neighbours seem to be missing it too, based on the number of comments about the noise the Micra makes! :thumbd:

Oh dear :thumbd:

Just after some advice, only had my T jet 145 for a month and loving it. I plan to get a stage 1 chip conversion done, and wonder what sort of price hike can i expect from the old insurers, and who would i go to in a few months time when the insurance is due,
Cheers any advice welcome.

I would go for the best value, they're pretty much the same to drive.

You may feel different, if you like the extras on the 695 and think they're worth it, go for it.

695 may hold value more being a numbered limited edition.  For me theres not enough to make me change my 70th esseesse.  You can match most of the specs (except bonnet, spoiler and seat backs and letter colour) should you want to for about £1600 in extras on the 595 and have more choice over exterior colours, wheels, stripes, mirrors etc.

I suspect the 695 may hold it's value more.

Wow you really know your stuff great product knowledge. Is it worth the extra £4000? What would you have ? I think the only thing I would want from the 695 is the dash and spoiler as it makes it stand out and maybe the bonnet but for £4000 think I can live with out thank you for your advice
