yes, it is  >:(

me too, last 2 ones became stuck open, and third one looks like to be on its way to become stuck open again !

any evidence of something that might stuck it open? (charcoal bits or something from the charcoal canister?)

25k is low too.. I didn't check the mini transparent fuel filter I installed yet, I removed the code and it didn't come back yet, but it does that everytime... first code erasings last a few miles, then it become more and more frequent.

I don't know why those valves won't last...

I'd replace it ASAP since the engine needs the right workingtemperature. Make sure you have a quality part. We did my son's MiTo (same engine) a few weeks ago and the side where the Banjobolt and connection to the turbo goes was crooked and impossible to seal properly.
Took a lot of swearing (we use threeletterwords overhere) and putting the new inners in the old shell, but then it sealed.

UPDATE: as the outside temps raised up it warms better now but last fourth brick still cant fill fast. if i am in heavy traffic if warms fast but when cruising on highway that last brick doesnt appears. will driving like this cause any other parts to fail? is it okay to drive like this on this summer and afterwards change it?

Thankss

Thanks for the photos but I was looking for anyone that had put the brace/net into a Cabrio specifically - wondering if its possible being with it having no roof and if it looks really odd  ;D

Thanks for the reply's so far

When I say about the Stereo upgrade - I am talking more about the factory fit Beats system - is that worth the extra over the standard?

@Klystron - do you have any pics of yours with the seat delete? I've never seen a cabriolet version with it - I am thinking of doing purely for a practicality point of view but I hear what your saying and agree in adding back in stiffness.

Thanks again

Here you go photos attached.
The only question is about making mods and the warrenty?

I'm being daft.......how do I open the attachment? - I can see the paperclip but nothing else?

You're not daft :)  I take it you are trying to view the 2 pictures?

Some members can view and some cannot. I really don't know why ??? ??? ::)

Clicking the paperclip will usually download the image, you then have to open from the 'download' folder. Possibly

When you say some member you me you!

I can see all  ;D

Hello,

welcome to the club, I am on my third valve now, last one lasted 9 months, i am trying to find out if those valves are bad quality/have a factory problem, or if it's the charcoal canister that messes things.
My gut tells me that it's valve defect (cause all old hoses were clean when I replaced them) but check the big P0441 thread, I will update soon.

Abarth 500 / Re: Troubleshooting P0441 code (EVAP) on my 595 Abarth 145
« Last post by Abarth595-145 on April 02, 2024, 06:22:55 pm »
Hi everyone. I've just signed up as I've been having a bit of bother with my purge valve showing stuck open on my 2019 turismo. It was replaced last year for the MOT but came back up 20 or so miles later. I haven't bothered doing anything with it as the car seems fine. However I was wondering if its at all possible to remove it completely and run a vent line then cap off where it goes back into the intake and some how code it out of the ECU. This is often done on modern bikes so just wondering if it's possible to do the same here and save future headaches.

Hello,

So 9 months later, CEL came back today, P0441  >:(
Third EVAP valve now ! and the last one was brand new.

I found more and more threads online (on a deutsch forum too) that speaks about this problem.
It's apparently a well known issue at some Abarth dealer, especially models from 2019. They say that it's the charcoal canister falling into pieces that destroys things, plugs hoses, and then ending by plugging the EVAP valve.

And at dealer they replace all hoses + charcoal canister + valve, which is around 800EUR of parts !!!
77365101 EVAP VALVES + HOSES
52141490 CHARCOAL CANISTER
51903161 ALL HOSE FROM FRONT TO TANK
+ it takes one day to install all of it and then you have a brand new EVAP system for 1200EUR.

But honnestly I am not sure, and I agree with Broggy46 that the best option is probably to code out the P0441 at a tuner company and call it a day !

I will not replace all this before knowing exactly what happening, if charcoal is plugging my hose, it must be visible in the transparent mini filter I installed, if not, maybe the OEM factory valve is sh*tty and won't seal correctly after a few months... anyway I might try to find compatible stronger valve and adapt it to the hose network with worm clamps and hoses, it will be cheaper than ordering the exact sh*tty valve that keep failing and won't seal anymore.
A EVAP is a EVAP valve, nothing really magical.

So to resume my case, since I installed a mini transparent fuel filter before the EVAP system, two possibilities :

- I will check if something obvious clogged the filter (I hope it's this possibility cause a minifilter is 5$ and easy to replace)
or
- If the filter isn't clogged, I will blow into to see if it's block or something then I will start to think that those OEM valves have a factory default.

I will update when I know more.
