500 Abarth, new owner from Scotland.
« on: February 23, 2014, 08:15:15 am »
Hi,

Thought I'd better introduce myself before I start asking lots of questions! Just bought this grey Abarth on Wednesday, always loved the look of these and a friend was selling this so I went for it.
Had many years in modified subarus then BMWs, the only other Fiat I've had was an Uno Turbo a long long time ago!
First impressions are good, love the looks and interior and it feels very well screwed together. Pretty pokey but I feel a TMC box may be added soon!
Ok, couple of questions....
What keys were these sold with? I have the key fob with the buttons and one normal key, should there be 2 fob type keys?
The suspension rattles a bit when going slowly over bumpy surfaces, I've done a quick search and everybody seems to mention the Ss konis rattling but not the normal 500.
The TMC box, any good? What happens if you fit one then you add a filter and exhaust will it need remapped?

Thanks,
Colin.

Hello!  I'm fairly sure you only get 1 fob type key, I know I did. Mine is a normal A500 and my suspension knocks when driving over uneven surfaces, I'm just glad most of my journeys are on the motorway!
Quite a good number of Scots on here now, should make for a good meet next time :thumb:

I live in a little village near Glenrothes in Fife. Would be interested in meeting fellow abarth owners especially with
ones that have been tweaked :)
