500 mile round trip!

After less than a week of looking just back from a 500 mile round trip to collect my new (to me)  A500  ;D

Grey, 5 petals, leather, sunroof, monza and lots of bits.  Just 10 months old and not a mark on her.

I had one of these which was stolen 6 months ago so v happy to be behind the wheel again.

It's as much fun and more as I remember.

Love it, however am glad it wasn't me who paid £740 for the Monza, it's a bit tame for me.  I can feel a Ragazzon Group N coming on!

The sunroof is a real bonus, I'm 50% otfthe way there to a C ;)

    Lovely car! How many miles have you got on the clock? I can tell you the monza doubles is volume by about 8,000 and again by 16,000...... ;D

    Thanks for the tip, car has 8000 miles, however, not sure if the Monza has been on since new.

    Was very tempted but something came up nearer home that caught my eye

    was quite shocked when you said yours was stolen  :o ...whats the story there if you dont mind me asking...or sharing?

    Hi Pottygirl, as you ask my wife was car jacked as she was parking up in Manchester. :o Anyone else been jacked or is my wife the only one? My local Dealer said he had never heard of it before.  Am looking into DIY GPRS tracking devices at the moment so if it happens again me and Google Maps will be on the thiefs tail.

    God. That's really awful. Not heard of it before but whereabouts? There are sone nice cars up here so, sadly, not that surprised.  :thumbd:

    funny you should say that SJH, Rory been making much louder noise the past week and thought I had a hole in the exhaust  ::)

    Thanks Dan.  Looks like you and me have the quieter Monzas.  I have not had a pop or a crackle out of her despite my red lining.  I have ordered a BMC filter to see if that helps.

    Thanks Dan.  Looks like you and me have the quieter Monzas.  I have not had a pop or a crackle out of her despite my red lining.  I have ordered a BMC filter to see if that helps.  

    Red lining 1st, 2nd, 3rd and quick changes to 4th and 5th usually means pops on demand. Or, there is Chris's method of a quick change 3rd straight to 5th. Colder weather also helps.  ;D

    Lots of pops when cold and a quick rev up the road. Not to often though when it is cold but popping is great fun. I also love the monza as when you are traving at about 30mph in town, a quick burst on the gas opens the valve and you get a lovely deep loud sound ;D
