A Few Days Late But: Newbie From Rugby England!
« on: August 15, 2014, 09:01:53 pm »
Just wanted to make myself known on the forum before I get stuck in properly!

I own a 2011 Fiat Punto Sporting - Multiair 1.4 Turbo - 135bhp (Always thought this was long winded)

I bought the car in April 2014 with under 5900 miles on the clock, and I was attracted to it as it described as one of the best Abarth mimics on the market, in terms of trim and looks considering it was a 'show' car owned by a previous manager who added everything from upgraded sound system, to cruise control and sunroof so it really is a great example of the Punto Evo (in my opinion of course).

Any tips and well known undeclared rules for the forums are more than welcome so I don't make a bad name for myself whilst using this fantastic site.

Thanks, Olly.

Just because this is an Abarth site.

I sent you a PM regarding this, after reading the rules I was under the impression that anyone with a passion for Abarth or anyone planning to purchase an Abarth was welcome to use the site, I've only posted with related threads and things I thought people might be interested in seeing, If they're not suitable posts/threads I'm sure they will be removed accordingly.

Sorry if I have misused the site in any way, I just felt this community was a great place to ask the questions which were relevant for both my model and the Abarth and to show people the model I had considering it was just about as close to an Abarth as I could get!

    Thanks, Olly.

    Hello Olly

Abarth is much more than a badge you're right - whatever you do DONT change the Fiat badges for an Abarth one

    Hello cjfraser

    Thanks for the friendly welcome!

Rest assured, I have seen this done before on many Fiat's and I'm sure I felt exactly the same as you on the matter. Never will I breech the unwritten rule of mis-badging a car in the name of aesthetics.

    Hi Olly

No problem, I just noticed when you put this post up that you hadn't received a reply from other users. I put this down to you not owning an Abarth, and wasn't sure if you was aware or not. It' great that you share an interest in Abarth and for that of course you are welcome.
