A500 convert in the Channel Islands
« on: May 23, 2015, 08:58:13 pm »
Evening, recent convert to an Abarth 500 having owned Golf GTIs and Mini Cooper S's in the past. Loving it so far.

There are a lot of 500s over here, fun car on our small roads, so I want to find a way to make mine unique. Any ideas? On a very low budget at the moment.

I was thinking either spraying the wheels black or perhaps something a little more fruity like orange/lime green and mirrors to match.

Also I started to remove the checkered roof decals today using a hair dryer and it was taking a long time! Any ideas to speed up the process? I've heard talk of different spray that dissolve the glue through the vinyl?

Looking forward to some fun driving!

    Welcome along :D

You could try some nice gold colour wheels with stripes/mirrors, like a JPS Lotus......

Not a bad idea! The local abarth dealer made a special edition model with gold wheels which looks pretty tasty (bar the chrome caps) which I think would look very nice with gold stripes.
