To be honest get what you CAN afford you are just 19 you  will  have many cars even if you cannot stretch to SS you will enjoy it the NP is fast it really is.

Only thing is I will be keeping it a minimum of 3 years maybe 4 because of having it on finance. Do people who went for the standard abarth regret not getting the ss?

If cash is an issue, do the maths.
Most people would be happy to have a normal Abarth at 19, and then convert it to a SS at 21 or so
By then your insurance should have gone down too

Cash isn't that much of an issue with a standard A500 on finance and insurance.
But yeah I guess a standard abarth still isn't bad going at 19, just don't want to regret not getting the ss

I don't regret getting a a standard 500 as I used the extra to buy the factory
Options that I wanted and added the extra power and lower ride later on.

For one under a year old then yes asking too much, sorry.

For the SS, yes... both under 12 months and 12,000 miles so whichever one comes first will rule it out.

My car is absolutely bog standard, and I've no regrets - but then, like several on here, it is not my only car (there's a certain V10-engined German car in which I do almost all my weekly miles) and I've no regrets at leaving it standard (although the ride is far harder than any Audi with an S badge!). It really is down to personal taste......... there are plenty of other mods you can make at some later stage if you want to - and when you have met several of us and talked to people about what they have changed and why (and in some cases changed back!), you will feel better informed about what you want to do to your car to personalise it.

Yeah I think a test drive will tell me where I want to go with it all. Also joining this forum was so I could do abit of research before making a 3/4 year commitment and it has helped a lot.
