I ordered my 500 Abarth EsseEsse yesterday and now have a good few weeks wait for it to be delivered. Thought being on here might make the time pass quicker?!

Anyway here's what I ordered:

Black 500 Abarth, EsseEsse upgrade, graphite alloys, red side stickers, red scorpion bonnet graphic, red door mirrors, red leather, auto climate control, dimming rear view mirror.

Really looking forward to taking delivery sometime in April.

Considering the A500 orders out number AGP orders 2.6 : 1 its not a huge suprise we will be taking over Dare say AGP sales will rise very quickly as more people go to the dealers though.

Once I returned from the test drive I ordered, easy as that.

Yes, it's a bit like it used to be when in the market for a Porsche. You take it out for a drive and it sells itself!

Dealers are quoting 10-12 weeks standard wait time, although I would suspect it may be a tad quicker if you're lucky. As to the common spec from what I see unless its a launch edition they are either still demos or one of the initial 500 onliners so hens teeth time.

Was still working on the OP, didn't read your post properly to realise you ment Richard's not akg's car.

Having decided I wanted a GP Abarth I made my first visit to Platts in about October last year. I didn't know whether they were readily available or you had to order one and wait months for delivery. When I bought an Alfa 147 in 2001, I went to the launch nite in about January, ordered one the next day and it arrived in June ! But Platts had got GPAs in the showroom and outside and there didn't seem to be any waiting list. I went back again mid December knowing that my redundancy money would be coming through some time in January, with the idea of getting a white GPA with the red stripes, and cloth upholstery. As I walked in, the exact car I wanted was sitting there so I said to Sean " I want that one " and the deal was done. He was quite happy to wait until my money came through so we agreed a February delivery date. I've now had the car three weeks and am well pleased with it apart from the fact that if you go out in any kind of weather the boot gets filthy in no time. I'm determined to keep it looking good and will give it a thorough clean before heading off to Gaydon. Of course, if it rains at all on the way it will be filthy again by the time I get there !!
