Hello all, new member, soon to be Competizione owner
« on: July 25, 2020, 02:01:32 pm »
Hello all!,

New member to the site, thought I’d join up and say hello, not quite a Abarth owner yet as the car I went to buy today had unfortunately sold (my fault for not calling in advance I suppose), but I have another in my gun sights so alls good!

My intentions are to buy a 595 Competizione as I intend to make it into a track toy (lose some weight from it, put it on some track biases tires, maybe a lsd, add a little more power..ect...) with the odd trip to work on nice dry days.

If anyone on here with a Competizione has done similar I’d love to hear what your set up is to give ideas on what to buy, who to tune who’s in the north...

I’ll start off with saying I have very little knowledge of the abarth, I’ve always fancied one after driving a workmates   500Competizione some time ago, and I remember thinking “dammm!, this thing goes as well as my r26r!”, maybe just a placebo effect from it being tiny and go kart like, but either way it left it’s mark!

So this is just me—saying HI

Thanks for the welcome, and yes I know tell me about it—I should hopefully get this other one sorted that’s local(ish) to myself ,however before I go and look at it, I dont suppose there’s anything detrimental to look for on used abarth’s is there? I didn’t spot a buyers guide when using the search button, but I may have overlooked it?
