Hello from Devon. ooo arrr!
« on: June 09, 2011, 05:01:07 pm »
Hello all, joined up and after many attempts to sign up eventually got in! more difficult to sign up here than to give birth!!
anyway, i am thinking of getting a 500 Abarth in the not too distant future due to there little 1.4 Turbo, (i have a Renault Twingo GT (1.2 Turbo)) so very similar, but i chose the abarth over say the Clio 197 F1 because well the Clio doesn't make 197bhp no where near.. only 180-185 and nearly 200kg heavier than the fiat, and i like flash in your face cars lol. anyway when i get an A500 i'm going straight to GTT to get it to 195 bhp :D then i will be happy.

but first i've got to source a car, so anyone selling an A500 for less than 10k let me know :) there are a few for sale, but i have to sell/p/x my Twingo first. anyone interested??

cheers jords.

Haha, they are though small low capacity turbocharged hatchbacks, twingo is 100kg lighter but abarth has 35 more bhp, (well mine had only 5 bhp less than the abarth)

    Ello

Just don't call them fiat's  :bat:
Now that I'm a grown up I drive a sensible grey 595 Competizione with grey leather sabelt seats and yellow brake calipers. It's jolly nice! It's got a name - ' Razzogrigio' Now with a custom S/S group N style exhaust, black Esseesse wheels and a GTT induction kit, all sitting on Eibach springs.

When you get a abarth pay special attention to the make collum on the v5.

Tbh as much as i take the micky out of the a500s they are great cars if u call it a fiat or not. We do have a few ex fiat 500 owners and for some reason they call them abarths

I have absolutely no problem with Fiat - I have only ever owned Fiats and loved them all. However, my Abarth is NOT a Fiat. If my local Fiat garage refuses to have anything to do with it then it cannot be a Fiat.

    Welcome by the way

So would you call a Merc kompressor AMG an AMG not a mercedes-benz many other examples, anyway its not relevent.

so where to find the best deals on abarth 500's and good dealers with good P/x value's? i can afford upto £6,000 ontop of my Twingo (p/x value of £5500)

Think Alpina not AMG and you're closer to the way it works  ;D

There is a list of dealers in the dealers section, happy hunting  :thumb:

haha, yes ok but any normal person would call it a BMW.

yea theres a few dealers round my way that seem good, ie Vospers Plymouth and Wessex in Bristol, i've sent them P/x value requests but they don't have any abarths in my budget, only ones in PH are.
