theswede - not looking at the ss kit. to be honest i will more than likely see out the warranty and then go for an aftermarket chipping solution (there'll be loads by then, i suspect offering 160bhp or more for a few hundred quid).

i'll be happy with the standard car for now, and this way it will be like getting a whole new boost (literally!) a few years down the line 


should be picking it up at some point next week, as soon as they recieve my copy of the insurance and arrange the tax for me.

was between this and a cooper s - and after driving even just the standard a500 there was just no comparison, in looks, fun and the whole experience..plus have saved a few grand into the bargain!

yes the mini was a damn fine car to drive (well, in cooper s guise anyway)...but it looks a little bland now, sadly i guess because of the sheer quantity of them around..and also it just wasnt as much fun, i was grinning almost the entire test drive in the abarth.

it reminded me greatly of my first hot hatch, the mighty renault 5 gt turbo...well, suppose it should both of them being a 1.4 turbo in a tiny chassis.. ah, happy days!!
