Hi from Holland
« on: November 11, 2008, 04:33:34 pm »
Hi Folks,

Glad I have finally found an Abarth Forum!

My 500 Aabrth should be delivered in about 4 weeks to the dealer and hopefully will be picking her up early Jan.

Spec is:

Black with black leather.
17" 10 Spoke alloys
White Abarth stripes, white mirrors, white chequered roof.
Climate control.
Navi prep
Blue and Me

I have not gone for the SS for now, mainly because I think 6500EUR is a complete rip off for what you get, plus im tempted to go aftermarket and aim for 180BHP.

My car will be delivered in Holland, hence the earlier delivery (the car is LHD) and will be on NL plates, but I am from the UK (I work in cloggy land).

I love Italian cars, I also have a 1998 and a 2008 Alfa Spider.

Hopefully this forum will prove to be a good source of knowledge and seeing as I should have the 500 before UK deliverys start id be happy to bring it to meets etc to let people experience it!

Cheers

Alex

Good point about sat nav prep, I had forgotten to mention that.
The 500 can now come equipped with a mounting/ charging point for Blue + Me nav.
The unit is quite neat, and works with the cars bluetooth to enable you to control it from the steering wheel and by voice. The cost of the unit is £199 but the fixing point is free when you order your car. The fixing point is not standard, so make sure you ask your dealer to fit it when they order the car from the factory.

Yup the navi Prep is an important one not to miss!

I had a good talk with the dealer and the full blue and me navi is apparently pretty crap and the 'pod' one is the best - but you can only have that if you tick the navi prep box - so dont forget folks!
