As long as the other dealer was an Abarth dealer he had no right to turn you away! Your warranty is effective in the whole of Europe.

With regards to the mats. I have no doubt that they are now on "back order" which means they could take forever to get here. We still have 4 sets from an original order that we put in.

    Hi,

Sounds like I should have come down to Plymouth to buy my car, the dealer about 50 miles from here said they couldn't spend time trying to sort out things like rattly doors as they weren't black and white faults, they were probably PDi issues so would have trouble getting money back from Fiat.

Unfortunately the bloody brakes wouldn't squeak that morning until i was half way back home of course.

I am trying not to sound negative because I love the car, I find it more fun than my Subaru Sti I had a couple of years back and that had 320BHP, I know what Italian cars are lke and I keep buying them over anything German etc because they are mostly fun and have a certain style so will not let a few quibles with a dealer spoil it.

    Cheers

    Duncan.

    Duncan,
Try to book an appointment with your dealer and explain your problem to them in a calm and pleasant manner. You may be pleasantly suprised at the outcome. I know from experience that if a customer comes in with a problem we always try to sort it out for them. The difference is that the customer who talks to us gets a more prompt service than the customer who comes in and just wants to shout.
At the end of the day, a dealer doesn't build a car and with a piece of machinery with that many moving parts there may be the odd teething trouble.
I'm not suggesting that you were rude because I dont know what happened, I'm only trying to explain where we would come from.
Hope it all gets sorted for you.
    John

Welcome Duncan, Sorry about your dealer experience. I can asure you that not everyone is the same.
    Glad your enjoying the car.
    John

My experience at Research has been most pleasant, and they gave me everything they promised.
Sorry to hear about your problems though - hopefully they'll all be sorted out soon.
