Welcome along for the ride! Anything you want to know 'Abarth' you will find here - it's a great resource when needed.  Good that you already have an 'independent' lined up in Bristol - I would back a well recommended 'independent' specialist against a main dealer every time, unless it's recalls or warranty work maybe.  Hope you both enjoy these great little cars!
Nov 2012 A500, officiano red, 17' petals but otherwise standard (wife beats me severely about the head and body if I talk about customising but I did buy a logoed folding umbrella!) I just love it - the car that is! well, and the wife!!
