Title: New 695 Biposto owner

Hello everyone, just wanted to say ciao and introduce myself!
I ordered a 595 Competizione from Abarth 3 months ago and to cut a very long story short, the car is still somewhere in production so I decided to purchase the 695 Biposto that they had in the showroom!
That was one of those sod it moments! I shall upload some pictures once I've managed to reduce them in 512kb!

Ive seen you're in Maidstone, did you buy it from Phil at Lipscomb? Thats a fab car, ive just driven one today at Brands Hatch.

Not sure about those Biposto's. I mean who wants a stunning looking Abarth that looks like, goes like and sounds like a race car......who :pray:

Dam you... I had my heart set on one but for once, my head ruled over my heart with regards to the comforts the 595 gives over the Biposto. Really look forward to some photo's though :)

Ahh yes, well played, I left my brain at home and went with my heart!

Actually I think I did okay, the car was in the showroom and had been spec'd by Lipscomb. The only option that I would have liked is the carbon dash but I'm sure it's possible to fit one if I really can't live without it!

Love the sun strip!!! I am amazed that if you don't get the dog ring you get the basic gear knob off a Custom!! No aluminium or carbon.
Super lovely car though and I wish you many happy miles :)
Thanks, I really like the sun strip too. Phil at Lipscomb had it made.
I'm with you on the gear nob! Maybe I'll fine something more suitable.

I looked at loads of options for gear stick upgrades including custom made ones from America. I settled for the all aluminium Abarth Scorpion one and it is fantastic. Nice weight, looks good in the car and feels much nicer. I really didn't like the feel of the stitching on the leather one. I was surprised just how much of a difference it made.

They probably went with the leather because it was lighter that the aluminium! I shall have a look around but I like your idea of the aluminium Abarth Scorpion one.
