New guy here
« on: July 04, 2020, 12:36:57 pm »
Hi all,
Apologies, already made a short intro in a recent thread as didnt know this was here.
Proud new owner of a 2020 595 70th ann. Turismo 165ps in Podium blue with tan leather and the urban pack which is awesome in my opinion.
I really wanted the Comp. but they had this model literally roll off the transporter the day i went to enquire at the dealer. I wasnt taken by the colour immediately as i originally wanted red or black, but it quickly grew on me and then i realised it was the best colour in my opinion, quite like the grey and white as well but this really pops in a nice way. The tan leather is very italian and makes a nice contrast with the blue. Love the sound of the standard round exhausts, not too in your face, but record monza or Akrapovic are lovely obviuosly.
The salesperson said that the comp was more of a race track model but realise now that it was to sell the Turismo that i ended up taking. Noetheless, i'm more than happy and who knows, maybe next time round.
Now, I bought on a great PCP offer of £213/month over 4 years and I believe that the warranty is 3 years if i'm not mistaken, i'm already thinking of upping the power with a remap of sorts. Can this be done without the dealer seeing it on a diagnostic tool? i don't want a box, but a real tune. I understand that on this 2020 model the ecu has to be opened up, is it a safe or good idea to go down this route?
Thanks in advance everyone.
