Morning All

I'm fairly new to the Abarth 500 family. I always loved the look of these so finally purchased one as a weekend toy. I had many Renault 5GTT's in my youth and have to say that the 500 really reminds me of the old Renaults. Anyway I thought I'd join as I am sure that I will have many questions moving forward.

    Hi and welcome

I had a Renault 6 which I fitted a normally aspirated 5 Gordini engine to as my first car (it was near-lethal and taught me the value of brake / suspension upgrades if you put more horses under the bonnet) so I can see where you're coming from with that :)

Weirdly you notice the torque steer / lift off oversteer much more in sport mode (partially the extra power, partially the modified steering weighting) and the traction control has an effect too, so since I'm used to a Subaru now I leave it in normal mode and turn the traction control on when I'm on twisty roads, and now it reminds me more of something like an Alfa Sud. I'm planning front suspension mods to bring the steering precision up too.
