My only concern is the Servicing i.e. Plymouth not being very close to home :(

I bought my A500SS off John501 in Plymouth and have my servicing done at Slough. Never a problem with either. :thumb:

In for my second oil change on Monday. :-*

    Hi
I bought my esseesse from Thames...ordered from Ajay last August and took delivery on 1st Oct.
In Aug he came out on a test in standard A500 and then gave me an esseesse to play with on my own.
I thought service from Thames was ok..certainly as good as expected....but I havent had any warranty issues except my 'Italian' Bluue & Me which they have failed to sort.

If you order be careful with the options list...it soon mounts up...mine is standard apart from esseesse kit...I dont regret it for a moment but do be aware that there are ride problems with A500 and esseesse....it can be sorted though.

Given the choice again I would have a standard A500(with 17inch wheels), with TMC chip, GAZ shocks and springs, Brembo brakes.......a superb reasonably priced setup for road and track....only prob ..no Abarth warranty

go on buy one..you wont regret it

Mini JCW is probably an excellent car.  I had a standard Mini Cooper for 7 years before my A500SS.  I was thinking of a Cooper S, and I must admit that the Mini is a very well screwed together car compared to the Abarth, but it's a bit like comparing a Porsche to a 90's Ferrari; the Ferrari is far more likely to break, but is loads more fun than the Porsche, which may be brilliant, but is just a tad boring.  The A500 definitely has the fun factor but it's not as quick as the JCW.  You have to weigh up what you're after, but the A500 will definitely make you smile.

^ I don't plan on getting rid of the JCW for an Abarth ! Or the GP for that matter (weekend toy)

My main idea behind getting one is going to and from work really so as a result I my even decide not to bother with the SS kit. As said the Abarth is nowhere near as quick/handling capabilities as the JCW (plus lots of fun, think go kart) but has some bite on journeys - which is always nice and the styling Exterior/Interior is just fantastic !!

All I know at the moment us that I want a White one!!
