Title: Starting a new A500 project :)

Hi there all together,
Just ordered my A500 last week. As it is already somewhere in the country I will possibly get it by the end of this week! ;D Really looking forward to it.
So the standard specs are as follows: Campovolo Grey Red Leather Red Side Stripes & Mirrors 17" Multispokes Sun Roof Automatic Climate Control (just because I like its looks more)
I really was tempted to go for the Esseesse & Monza, but after being a passive reader on here, I decided not to. Monza is fairly expensive and I did not want to buy an item that it might break or rust etc. Went against the SS as I do want other rimms (OZ Leggenda) and want to head direction of the Assetto Corso car.
Future mods will be new downpide, centre and backbox (if I go down the road of having a flashy little boy racer car, it might as well sound like that! :thumb: ), airfilter, and TMC. If I get bored after a bit then (and I do get used to cars fairly fast) I might be tempted of doing a more major thing next spring...
So about me: Absolute petrolhead being lucky enough of having some funny cars :) I do have some knowledge about cars & mechanics and do often drive trackdays with my trackcar over in Europe. Hopefully I can contribute a little to this forum here!
I live half of my time in Berkshire, the other half I am in Europe for work (mostly Benelux, Germany, Austria, Switzerland & France).
I really do like to be an active member here, so keep me posted if there is anything in this area!

Had already quite a few different things. Some good, some better (and some were promising, but pretty poor to be fair).
Currently I have a BMW Z4M Coupe (which is my car on the continent), and a Caterham R400 (trackday car). Looking at my annual milage, I think the 500 is a good addition to that, and once some details have been changed it will be pretty epic to drive (not saying that it isn't already when being stock!)
Worst car ever owned VW Golf Mk IV R32. No driving pleasure, no sensation, huge fuel guzzler. Probably a very good car in objective terms, but not a real turn on for me :( So after about 4,5 months I sold it on.

Z4 coupe? Only if you had a Z3 coupe 'Breadvan' which was a hoot to drive and was worth the odd looks people gave it. Once again, welcome here.

Without the forum, I would have probably opted for the SS kit and the Monza. So the route going now is surely a fault of the forum ;D
Love the breadvan too, and I like the fact that it was odd - somehow made it special to me. Z4 Coupe still a real good drive, if one likes a lively backend!

Love the Z4 coupe. It was a 'nearly car' for me but my left leg isn't long enough.
