The biggest "Hi" from Australia
« on: April 10, 2012, 11:25:16 am »
hi all,

My name is Stephen from Brisbane - Australia. I m driving a 2012 Abarth 500 in Black. So far, I got Monza back box, Koni suspension, Abarth Sabelt Half Leather front Seats and factory Hid headlight.

I switched from a Subaru Sti to this little rocket, and she didnt let me down. I am loving it! i been trying very hard to look for parts but no luck within Australia beside only can find someone can do a EMS ecu flash upgrade to make the car from 118kw to 138kw which will be little bit more than the 695. But I want to find the upgrade for the front half of the exhaust and airfilter before I do the ecu flash.

Hopefully I be posting some photos of the car when I got a chance to give her a wash.

    Welcome

I'll let you have a good read of the tuning sections first but I would be highly suspicious of someone claiming to be able to get 695 power from a remap alone.

    Welcome.

I've just come back from a fabulous 3 week vacation in your country, during which time I spotted just 3 Abarths - two white ones and a red one.

Did not get up to Brisbane, as I confined my travels along the south coast from Sydney to Perth. Next time, perhaps?

    Welcome on here!
You are the second one from down-under that is active on here now (at least as I am aware of).

Here in Europe there is plenty of different options of tuning, in terms of suspensions, brakes, power.

As already mentioned by Chris555, you will find it hard to find the 132kW just with a remap.
The maximum will be more along the lines of 120-125kW with a remap alone.

Edit: Even with higher modifications (air intake, exhaust, cat etc) you will find it hard to come over the Tributo power. Turbo upgrade can help. Search funtion :thumb:

    Hello

I am sure the lads here can point you out to loads of websites plus there is a lot to read on the Boards here?

Your car is pretty loaded as it is but there is always that little bit more. Induction maybe?

We now have more Australians than Bulgarians now ;D

    Hi Stephen,

Greetings to you in Queensland, I'm a tad envious already!!! Good luck with your car, and hope you enjoy it. Bet it causes quite a stir there, very different from the norm.

    Welcome  :thumb:
