White GPS owner
« on: January 21, 2009, 09:10:41 pm »
Hi there, signed up yesterday as I'm thinking of making the change from my 1.9 Grande Punto Sporting to either an AGP or A500. Depends what price the dealer can sort out for me! I've attached a couple of pics of my current one as I'm pleased with how it looks, and it's awesomely quick with it's remap. Just fancy the nice abarth cars.

Just swap it for the AGP in white with sunroof and the optional wheels.  No one will notice the difference, until you accelerate :)

Have driven a A.G.P. yet? I know from experience ( my wife owns a chipped G.P. MJ sporting) there is an awful lot of difference between that and an Abarth.

Interesting John. Can you expand on the difference since you have driven both. Hoping to drive an AGP tomorrow.
    Thanks

To be honest, as a Fiat and Abarth dealer I bought my wife a 130MJ sporting on a "56" plate as a delivery mileage car at a good price. What ever I had from the Fiat range ( 150mj Croma eleganza, 150MJ Bravo sporting. there is a theme here!) I still enjoyed driving her car on my day off because it was fun. After chipping it to 155 BHP then I thought it was superb.
After my first drive of Abarth G.P. I could immediatley tell the difference between both the steering and the suspension. The MJ engine at 155 bhp is really good as a diesel but not quite as torquey as the G.P.A. petrol.

I still drive my wifes car regullary on my day off, but it just re-inforces the difference between a fast production car and a really good sports car. :thumb:
