Hi all, been lurking around for a couple of months while I source a clean Abarth Esseesse for my wife. After missing several cars by only a couple of hours I eventually found one in Scotland. Last Friday I flew to Glasgow to go over the car and if it was as expected then drive it home. Initial thoughts the car has the basis of being a solid run around for the wife and kids, whilst I can also have some fun. We done the deal and set off on a 420 mile journey home, eventually arriving home after some 10 hours on the road including food and drink stops.
The next 2 days I spent cleaning the car as it wasn’t up to a standard I was comfortable with. After a decontamination of the paint and wheels, 3 snow foams, clay bar, ceramic sealed the glass and black plastics the car is in a strong place. Next will be mopping and polishing the paint and then ceramic sealing with 2 coats. I have ordered a new scuttle panel and covers, new front bumper grill and sides, new wing badges, new wiper arms and wipers, new Michelin Pilot Sport 3 all round with the wheels being refurbished next month. If anyone knows the correct white paint code for the OZ wheels I would really appreciate assistance here.
