After owning a beautiful comp but having had to trade it in against a Touareg to tow the caravan I finally went and brought myself a Record.
The comp was such a good car in fact out of all my cars and classics over the years the comp gave me the most satisfaction when driving and I was gutted to trade it. I had the option to either buy it back from the VW dealer at almost the price I traded it which was good of them or go for the Record that came up for sale. Must say I put a deposit on the Record then went to test drive it and thought I can't pay the extra for what my comp would have cost so I walked away.Then I had second thoughts so asked the dealer if he could hold it for me for a week to finally decide and 1 week later went and brought it. I didn't really give it a proper test drive which is probably why I didn't want to pay the extra over the comp but now I have it its a totally different beast altogether. Fantastic car and love it to bits. Always used to give my comp a second admiring look as i walked away and the same goes for this.
