Grey with black
« on: May 09, 2009, 07:22:45 pm »
It's here.  It's filthy.  I love it.

I'm running it in hard and will atone for my sin with an early oil change.  If only my trolley jack would fit underneath.

No complaints.  There's a little fruity cough between gearchanges.  Bless.

(sorry for crap phone pic, better to follow; can the resizing fairy set to work?)

Looks sweet! The backfires are one of the best things on this car, I've started to get double pops now, a bang through each exit! (windows down every time round town then!) Enjoy the car, curse the tiny fuel tank, some people must have to fill up every day, although it's not really a daily commuter for most people is it?

Looks really nice, cool combination, like the black stripe and mirrors.

Uh not sure this is normal though?! mine does not seem to do this at all,

Suggests there could be a air leak in the inlet or the exhaust side, or possibly fuel/air mixture not quite right.

Nah it's fine, you're not trying hard enough that's all. Next time you get in the car, imagine you stole it, and there's a car with blue lights behind you. Then you'll hear the backfires!

Your wish is my command.  :thumb:

BTW, Grey with 16s and the black stripe isn't a combo I'd thought of before, but I have to say, that looks great.  As I've said before, there really isn't a bad combo.  Well done!

It's different. And I like it. The standard wheels look nice with the grey  :thumb:

Ah finally the 'what could have been' car has arrived. Looks great, kind of wished my stripe order could have been changed to black but definately glad about the 17's though. You bringing it to stanford so I can get a better look? (and try and swipe your mirror covers  ;D )

I think ruin is overly harsh but they don't seem to visually sit quite as well as they do on Jonl's car with the white stripe. The 16's do look better in the metal than in pictures though, so I'll look forward to seeing it properly at a meet up.

that is a lovely car. i like the grey with the black. the 16" wheels look good but imo 17"s would look better. As i have said on previous posts i love the grey and wish i had ordered that colour! enjoy it!

It is perfectly normal for it to pop/backfire, since fitting the BMC air filter it seems to do it a lot more  :thumb:

How much have people paid for the BMC if you don't mind saying and where did you buy it from?

    Thanks
