Legends blue Abarth 500
« on: February 03, 2014, 10:59:11 am »
First time playing with the new toy, a Canon 350d to start taking some decent photos. So took the girlfriends Abarth 500 out for a run through the Lakes and grabbed a few photos. First time shooting with a decent camera so go easy haha.

Abarth 500 Legends Blue
Xenons
Stripe package + scorpion + white mirrors
Magnetti Marenelli Backbox
H&R Springs with Essessee Koni Dampers
Will soon have Airtec Front Mount Intercooler and off for a custom made front splitter

    Nice!

My girlfriend also has legends blue and same wheels but cabriolet and without monza and stripes.

Is that a vxr corsa? How's it compare to A500?

Its certainly the perfect girly colour haha. Although I must admit, I love driving it!  :shy:

Yeah sure is, its 220bhp with quite a few mods.

Not really fair to compare in its current shape with it being so heavily modified especially a power comparison.

But in terms on handling/Steering feel I would take the Abarth every time. Much heavier and nicer feel through the wheel. Where as the corsa is quite light and you don't really get much feedback through the wheel.

Corsa is still a nice car though. It would be an interesting comparison if the Abarth was Esseesse power or more.

Not updated this for little bit. Girlfriend has fitted her private plate now aswell.

It went for a nice 700+ mile round trip to Airtec for its development intercooler to be fitted and tested. All was well, looks great and has improved the car nicely.

During this journey it hit 9k miles, so once back it was booked in for its first 9k oil + filter service. All went smoothy, Richard Hardy the dealer was fantastic, everyone was pleasant and the price was as agreed, £90. Had 2 heater dash bulbs replaced to for £10 whilst it was in.

Also purchased GPA esseesse wheels in 17x6.5. £40 to have the centre bore changed so they just need some tyres now.

Current wheels have been swapped front to back, so the conti sport contact 2s now have 5mm on the front and rears are at 3mm after 9000 miles.

Anyways pictures from the intercooler installation and testing.

I'm curious why you went for AGP SS wheels?  The PCD is larger on the Punto, how are you going to get around this? Wobble bolts?  ???

Just as they come up at price that couldn't be refused. Yeah wobble bolts will solve the issue.

Genuine 500 ones would of been easier but they rarely come up used and when they do they seem to fetch very good money.
